Mark A. Stiffler
Founder, President, and CEO

Mark Stiffler founded Synygy, Inc. in 1991 and is its president and CEO. Mr. Stiffler has won numerous awards for his success in growing Synygy from a concept to over 450 employees worldwide and is a recognized expert in sales performance management.

Mr. Stiffler is a frequent speaker on the topic of sales performance management and the author of PERFORMANCE: Creating the Performance-Driven Organization, based on his two decades of experience consulting with Fortune 1000 companies. A long-time guest lecturer in entrepreneurial marketing at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, he is also an active member of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), a group of 10,000 chief executives under age 50 from 75 nations.

Mr. Stiffler received an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering (Project Management) and Management Information Systems, also from MIT.

Chetan J. Shah
Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Chetan Shah joined Synygy in 1993 and is currently Chief Operating Officer (COO) with oversight for the professional services and technology initiatives that support the delivery of client solutions. As Managing Director of Synygy India Pvt. Ltd. and Director of Synygy Europa SRL, Mr. Shah is also responsible for Synygy's global operations.

Mr. Shah's accomplishments at Synygy include establishing the largest software organization focused on developing sales compensation management and other sales performance management applications and creating the only in-house data center operation dedicated to on-demand sales performance management applications.

He also has been instrumental in developing Synygy's technological advantages, including an end-to-end, fully-integrated sales compensation management solution that enables projects to be implemented quickly and eliminates the risks common to patched-together alternatives that use third-party applications and hosting services.

Mr. Shah holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Scranton and a bachelor degree in Commerce from Sydenham College, University of Bombay (Mumbai, India).

James O'Brien
Vice President, Finance

As Synygy's VP of Finance, Jim O'Brien is responsible for managing the financial aspects of Synygy's continued growth.

Before joining Synygy in 2001, Mr. O'Brien was controller and vice president at IMS Health. Prior to that he was controller of Windsor Communications Group, held several financial positions with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, and was an auditor with the Philadelphia office of Deloitte & Touche.

Mr. O'Brien is a Certified Public Accountant and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA, both from Villanova University.

Walt E. Montague
Vice President and General Counsel

Walt Montague has held the position of Vice President and General Counsel of Synygy, Inc. since 1992 and is Synygy's most tenured employee.

With 26 years of corporate law experience, Mr. Montague is responsible for managing all of Synygy's legal matters, including client contracts, vendor, employee, and lender agreements, and real estate leases.

Mr. Montague has an undergraduate degree in economics from Boston College and a JD from Harvard Law School.

Scott Cawood
Vice President, Human Resources

Scott Cawood assumed the position of Vice President, Human Resources at Synygy in 2006. He is responsible for the company's global human resources strategy, systems, and processes.

Most recently, Mr. Cawood was founder and president of ModernThink, the firm responsible for launching corporate "Best Places to Work" programs in 18 states. Prior to that, he held senior executive positions at Revlon, Great Place to Work Institute (creator of Fortune magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list), and W.L. Gore & Associates.

A frequent speaker on the topic of how to turn a company's culture into a competitive advantage, Mr. Cawood is co-author of Destination Profit: Creating People-Profit Opportunities in Your Organization, an examination of companies that are leading the way in creating great organizations where people want to work.

Mr. Cawood holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Organization Behavior from Kennedy Western University and an MA in University Administration, Labor, and Industrial Relations Cognate and a BA in Communication from Michigan State University.

Anne Luongo
Vice President, Software Product Management

Anne Luongo is Vice President, Software Product Management and is responsible for software management, support, documentation, and training.

Ms. Luongo's decade of interactions with Synygy's end users has allowed her to create software with functionality that is rooted in a deep understanding of how Synygy software is used to solve real-world sales performance management problems. Her in-depth exposure has enabled Synygy to design flexible software that allows Synygy to meet the needs of all clients using the same code base and eliminating the problems inherent in our competitors' customized applications.

Before joining Synygy in 1997, Ms. Luongo spent thirteen years as a consultant at SRA International, Inc. working on a variety of software development projects for the federal government. Ms. Luongo is a graduate of Yale University, with a BA degree in Sociology.

Ashish Garodia
Vice President, Information Systems

Ashish Garodia is Vice President, Information Systems and has responsibility for transforming and automating the company's business processes through the innovative use of technology.

Mr. Garodia oversees the development of systems and processes that enable effective communication both internally and with our clients and vendors. He also manages the company's financial reporting, sales force operations, and business intelligence systems.

Prior to his joining Synygy in 1999, Mr. Garodia worked in the Technology Architecture Planning Group at Federal Express.

Mr. Garodia holds Masters degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and a BE from Bangalore University (India).

Ken Bjorkelo
Regional Vice President

Ken Bjorkelo is a Regional Vice President responsible for the sale and delivery of sales performance management solutions.

During his seven years at Synygy, Mr. Bjorkelo has worked on numerous sales compensation programs, involving compensation plan design as well as ongoing management of the sales compensation process for some of Synygy's largest clients in a variety of industries, including: Pharmacia, Pfizer, Hoffmann-La Roche, Bayer, Novo Nordisk, Biovail, Sepracor, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson and Johnson, General Electric, Frito Lay and others.

Prior to joining Synygy, Mr. Bjorkelo was a Senior Principal at American Management Systems, where he managed consulting, process redesign, and system integration programs for a broad range a commercial and government clients.

Mr. Bjorkelo holds a Masters in Business Administration from Cornell University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Jeff Evernham
Regional Vice President

Jeff Evernham is a Regional Vice President responsible for the sale and delivery of sales performance management solutions.

During his eleven years at Synygy, Mr. Evernham has designed, implemented, and managed a variety of sales compensation and sales operations projects for Synygy's clients. He has helped over forty clients across diverse industries improve sales force effectiveness through improvements in sales compensation management, sales analytics, quotas management, sales force sizing and alignment, and objectives management.

Before joining Synygy, Mr. Evernham spent six years in various research and development projects with the Integrated Defense Systems division of the Boeing Company. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with MS and BS degrees in aerospace engineering.

Amit Gupta
Regional Vice President

Amit Gupta is a Regional Vice President responsible for business development and other general management support.

During his eleven years at Synygy, Mr. Gupta has designed incentive plans and implemented sales compensation management solutions for some of Synygy's largest clients in pharmaceuticals, financial services, and consumer packaged goods, including GE, Eaton, Eli Lilly, Lincoln Financial, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and DuPont.

Mr. Gupta obtained his MBA in Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Calcutta, India.
